One of the piece de resistance from the High Strangeness collection, this 'Conspiracy' television is a brooch/necklace conversion is a folly in vitreous enamel, Australian opal and fabricated silver.
One of a pair, this version of 'Conspiracy TV' is receiving a lot of interference from mysterious sources, despite it's double-satellite mount - magnetic fields, UFO's.. the government?
The testcard wobbles on a screen made of cloisonne vitreous enamel. This was created in a painstaking, ancient technique, placing grains of powdered glass into an outline composed of fine silver bent wire over a copper base, and subsequently kiln fired in several sessions (for more on how cloisonné pieces are created, check out this link where I walk you through the process in an IGTV). The resulting human-made gemstone glints and catches the light with great depth and brilliance.
It's set into a little vintage-style television in the rugged BMMBX style, flanked by a pair of satellite dishes sawn and formed from sheet silver, and a large 'button' in blue australian opal that flashes with naturallly-otherworldly fire
This piece is an entirely unique piece of art jewelry.
The back of this piece bears two loops through which a necklace chain can be threaded (And one is provided). The reverse is in addition also mounted with a handmade brooch mount, with a tough stainless-steel pin which allows it to be worn as a brooch.
This piece is a collector's item, and comes signed and dated at the back.
Tip! A personal favourite way to wear a large brooch like this is to set it into the centre of a top closed-shirt button, where a tie-knot would rest. Fabric too thin? Pad it on the inside with a foam pad or even a wad of cotton, and pin through it - and you can wear a heavy pin on even thin fabric!
