Inspired by the romantic painting of Godward (see last slide) I've been creating a series of Ancient-Greece-reminiscent real gemstone strands for the urban Nymph.
The inspiration for this one was ancient Egypt. The culture of jewelry and beads was rife in this beautiful mysterious world and I used vintage tubular coral beads to make a dainty but powerful necklace that can stand solo wear or draped with other pieces. To achieve the Egyptian look, turquoise was also used and paired with ceramic gold-glaze space beads which will not fade or scratch.
